Confirm Compatibility

Verify your truck is a compatible application before beginning. Use the CapLok Compatibility Checker or contact CapLok directly if you are unsure.

Unbox and Inspect

Remove the CapLok Fuel Shield from packaging and confirm all hardware, keys, and components are present — including any inserts. Do not begin installation with missing components.

Clean the Fuel Cap Area

Ensure the fuel cap and surrounding area are clean and free of debris before mounting.

Install Inserts If Required

If inserts are included with your unit, install them before mounting the enclosure. No drilling is ever required.

Close Over the Fuel Cap

Position the CapLok Fuel Shield over the fuel cap and close it. No hardware is required — the enclosure closes directly over the fuel cap.

Lock It

Lock the CapLok Fuel Shield using the provided key. Test the lock with both keys before returning the truck to service.
